Testing the Green Screen

After realizing in early October that full size sets for this project are a dream beyond my means, we opted for the green screen. Here are a couple of early tests composited on the fly by

Aurelio Lourenzo.

We shot these in color against the green screen and after keying out the images in Photshop turned them B&W to get that old cinematic look.

Launching Preproduction for a Photographed Graphic Novel

Although I told many of you that my next project will be an illustrated graphic novel about a girl called Midge who joins the circus in the 70's etc. etc...

Well as it goes, my long standing desire to work with actors and produce filmed projects caught up with me.

So I'm jumpeing right into it. No more sitting alone in the studio taunted by a blank sheet of paper! On to struggling with scripts, sets, actors, photographers, schedules, makeup and costume and and and god knows what else... I have a feeling I'll soon be begging to just be left alone, in a room with a blank sheet of paper...
